Maps of Fire Island and the Pines

Our house is conveniently located in the West end of the Pines, just an 8 minute walk from the Pines harbor (pictured below).
Cherry Grove is a 30 minute walk west from our house.

Fire Island is approximately 30 miles long and is home to nearly 20 communities and several parks.
Travel time from Manhattan ranges from 2 to 3 hours by train or car plus a 20 minute ferry ride across the bay from Sayville.

The Sunken Forest (below) is about an hour's walk from the Pines, west of Cherry Grove.
It is a great way to spend a few hours walking on the beach and then exploring the forest.
